WGD Press Release

WOMEN’S GOLF DAY TURNS TEN!

Register today for year-round exposure to the global women’s golf community

WEST PALM BEACH, Florida –  Friday, January 17, 2025  Women’s Golf Day (WGD) 2025 will be a celebration not just for the locations and women who take part annually around the globe, but of the undeniable contribution that WGD has had since its launch 10 years ago.  The WGD vision was to help lead growth in the golf industry by giving women around the world the opportunity to try golf no matter their race, religion, language, geography, or economic status.

Highlight Stats:

  • Long-term partners of The PGA of America, The USGA and The R&A
  • 85 participating countries
  • 1,350 registered locations
  • Social media impressions in excess of 406.9 million in 2024

Locations and PGA Professionals – who earn Professional Development Requirement (PDR) credits  for hosting events – continue to use WGD as a pathway to attract new players and to celebrate the women golfers already using their facilities.  The community that golf creates for its female participants is often cited as one of the most appealing aspects of golf which is why WGD’s format has successfully been delivered globally.  Some locations have been involved every year for 10 years, showing how valued WGD is across the industry.

Location Registration for 2025 is now open.  Golf courses and facilities are encouraged to register now to take advantage of the many year-round benefits of having a registered location page, as well as hosting a WGD event.  The new functionality and opportunities are demonstrated in a sample listing found here:  https://www.womensgolfday.com/location/wgd-sample-listing/

“WGD is a collaborative effort.  Without the support of locations, brands, golf management companies, retailers and governing bodies we would not have been able to engage, empower and support as many girls and women as we have,” explains founder of Women’s Golf Day Elisa Gaudet.  “In ten years, a lot has changed, but our four-hour experience continues to be successful and relevant, no matter where in the world.  Our locations can see the short- and long-term impact now, which proves that registering with us to run WGD events is a straightforward way to recruit and retain female golfers.”

Women’s Golf Day 2025 will take place from May 27 – June 3, 2025.  All organizations and individuals affiliated with the golf industry are welcome to participate including golf courses, private and public clubs, driving ranges, retail stores, golf education centers, golf instructors, and leagues.

Registration starts at $159. and gives clubs access to a range of benefits all year round.  To register a location visit https://www.womensgolfday.com/register/
